Following an extensive 2006 restoration by architect Mark Rios, the Nomlands’ original design is enhanced by way of material finishes, but the intent remains rooted in the modernist principles of the day. The original scale of the public spaces and adjacent galley kitchen provides for striking volume, light and views. Newer built-ins throughout the residence redefine the original program where less is actually more. Two en-suite bedrooms overlook a front-entry courtyard and are finished in quality, updated materials. The den, which also serves as a possible third bedroom includes a fireplace and wet bar. A powder room, laundry area, indoor grill, and detached garage with additional off street parking is also included.
